Nelly Odessa is a highly experienced coach of personal and professional development specializing in teaching the craft of acting and creativity to non-actors . Ms. Odessa, a professional actress herself, has has studied a variety of acting techniques and styles, and has performed extensively in theatre productions, film, television and commercials since 2001; her performances have been acclaimed by numerous publication, including The New York Times.
Having studied business as well (she holds a BBA from Baruch College) and spending three years working at Baruch’s career development center coaching BBA and MBA students on the “art of mastering an interview”, she throughly understands the needs of the business professional. Nelly has since then coached trial lawyers on “The art of acting in the courtroom”, teachers and lecturers on “The art of making non-boring speeches and engaging the audience”, business professionals on improving their communication skills, managers on “team building techniques” and “meetings made fun and effective”. Numerous creatives from various artistic fields such as writing, visual arts, filmmaking, singers, dancers also enroll in Nelly’s classes and coaching programs as a way to expand their creative energy.
In 2007, she founded the the Lesson 4 Fun Studio, an adult education facility offering creative classes in the areas of acting, singing, dance, and writing, and has been teaching the studio’s most popular classes, the Acting for Non-Actors classes. Earlier that year, after working as a professional actress for 10 years, Nelly Odessa stepped away from performing and is now fully focused on teaching and inspiring people to fulfill their potential.
Nelly is also currently working on her first book, to be released in 2012.
